I am an active member of the American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT) and serve on the Committee on Professional Concerns. The first committee sponsored event that I attended was a cracker barrel session on the concerns of high school teachers. One of the needs was a place to find opportunities for professional development for high school science teachers. I responded to the need by building a collection of links in Connotea, a social software that is made freely available by the Nature Publishing Group. Connotea allows one to build a virtual filing cabinet to share with others. It is possible to sort the contents of one’s collection on any of the “tags” or key words on the left side of the screen. Here is my collection, sorted by “development” (shorthand for professional development).
